To a man who loved his youth on an Iowa farm but expected he was destined for a farm-less career in industry, a farm manager gig provides a lot of fun days.
Nathan Meyers ('09 ag systems technology) is the manager at the Agricultural Engineering/Agronomy Farm west of Ames, one of the university's 15 research and demonstration farms across the state. He has become the go-to guy for staff at all the Iowa State research farms around the state. More

On Thursday, Feb. 1, George Washington Carver (1894 agriculture, 1896 MS) will tell his story in person* in the Durham Great Hall of the Memorial Union.
(*In person - thanks to alumnus Paxton Williams' portrayal of the world-famous agricultural scientist in a performance for the second annual Carver Day celebration at Iowa State.)
