Kendall Lamkey will become the new CALS associate dean for facilities and operations, effective May 16. In this role, Lamkey will lead safety planning efforts and operations, and ensure CALS facilities and operations directly advance the college’s mission. More

GLENN TO PRESENT HERTZ LECTURE APRIL 11

Tim Glenn ('88 animal science), executive vice president of the seed business unit at Corteva Agriscience, will deliver the 2023 Carl and Marjory Hertz Lecture on Emerging Issues in Agriculture on April 11, at Iowa State University. A leader in the agriculture industry, Glenn will present “Industry Perspectives and Emerging Trends in the Global Agriculture.” The lecture will begin at 7 p.m. in 127 Curtiss Hall on Iowa State’s campus. The event is free and open to the public. More

MORRIS IS ONE OF TOP 100 EXECUTIVES IN SEAFOOD INDUSTRY

Craig Morris ('92 animal science) was named this year to IntraFish Media's listing of the 100 most influential executives in the global seafood industry. Their "Power 100" highlights "the very best and brightest the global seafood industry has to offer, with a focus specifically on executives that produce and supply seafood for world markets." More

TELFORD HONORED AT NATIONAL PORK INDUSTRY FORUM

Mike Telford ('76 animal science) was presented the Paulson-Whitmore State Executive Award at the National Pork Industry Forum on March 9. The award was presented by the National Pork Producers Council and the National Pork Board in recognition of Telford's leadership and many years of service to the pork industry. More

She enjoys seeing how the topics she is learning about in class relate to the real world.
